Two students. One mission: an informed start.
We created Future Funds to make financial education more accessible and help families understand a new federal child savings program. We are independent, nonpartisan, and focused on clear information.
Our story
Future Funds began with two high school students interested in investing and the role of financial education. When a new federal child savings program was introduced, we saw a need for explanations that families could understand without a background in finance or tax law.
Our response is practical: free, plain-language guides for families, employers, and donors; direct links to official resources; and illustrations that make the assumptions visible. We explain both the potential benefits and the limitations, including investment risk, contribution rules, and tax considerations.
Our ambition is to help more families begin with knowledge, not confusion. We do not open accounts, handle money, sell investments, or claim government endorsement. Our contribution is education: helping people ask better questions and find the official information they need.
What guides our work
A clear purpose, supported by clear editorial standards.
Clarity before complexity
We explain the terminology and the practical steps in language families can use. Our educational resources are free to read.
Sources before claims
We prioritize official guidance, identify assumptions, and welcome corrections. A simplified explanation should never hide an important limitation.
Education before advocacy
We explain the program without political endorsements or promises of investment returns. Every family deserves the information to make its own decisions.
Help us make the information clearer.
Questions, corrections, and thoughtful collaboration help strengthen this educational resource.
